What’s next after a photography workshop?
Many of my participants (DSLR, mirrorless camera, film camera and smartphone camera shooters) told me it is difficult to maintain the interest or even routine for photography after that. I get it.
Unless you are a full time photographer, you won’t be holding on to your camera daily but you still have your smartphone camera with you.
To get better in any thing, you got to keep practicing it.
To expand your creative vision and to improve your photography skills, you need to keep shooting.
Practice makes perfect.
Look at those images that you have shot. Work on post editing them. You will notice something that you want to improve. It could inspire you to go out there, to shoot and to better your shot from the previous ones.
Photography workshop is meant for you to learn techniques and acquire tips, all to better your photography. However, to continue practicing with your camera consistently is essential for you to get better.
Share your images on social media and photography related sites for critiques and feedback. These will also help a lot for you to improve your photography.
Keep shooting, keep creating.
Sign up for the next workshop, with few different photographers, that could bring your photography to another level.
Perhaps learning post-editing skills such as Lightroom and Photoshop.
Post processing skills are equally important to make your images pop.
