Proboscis Monkeys (Nasalis larvatus) are easy to spot. The males have big nose that overhangs their mouth while females’ are turned upwards. They have big stomachs, with long thick white tails and orange coats.

Endemic to Borneo, they congregate in swamp and riverine areas. While cruising down the river, it is most likely to hear them before seeing them. Even the smallest group makes a lot of noise, such as calling to one another or crashing from tree to tree and sometimes even diving into the water.
